Introduction
The Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition (GCCC) is one of 90 coalitions around the country that are part of the U.S. Department of Energy's strategy to reduce America's dependence on imported oil. The Clean Cities' collective goal, nationwide, is to reduce this country's import needs by one million barrels of oil per day by the year 2020. To achieve the noble aim, we must think globally and work locally. GCCC provides you many opportunities to participate and make a difference in South Florida. Consider making choices that will reduce your dependence on petroleum fuels. If you are not prepared to purchase an alternative fuel vehicle, you can assist with public education and special events. Lay the ground work for a cleaner and more secure future. Join the GCCC coalition of governments, private organizations, and individuals by submitting your membership application.

Message from the Gold Coast Clean Cities Chairperson
Patty Asseff
I am delighted to serve as the Chairperson of the Florida Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition. Our coalition is a hybrid of the private sector businesses ranging from mom and pops to some of the largest corporations and public utilities in the country. Our coalition includes some of the smallest municipalities to the largest agencies and county organizations in the State of Florida.
The Florida Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition is focused primarily on the continue sovereignty of our country and the growth and development of economic opportunities for businesses and citizens that live, work and play in South Florida. We embrace the diversity of South Florida’s alternative fuel and advanced technology options that are emerging daily. They are as diverse as South Florida’s population. This industry is emerging and growing because South Florida must replace and supplement its petroleum usage.
The Florida Gold Coast Clean Cities Coalition has been in existence for over 15 years. Regardless which Presidential administration has been in office, it is clear that all United States Presidents convey the message: We (the United States) need to wean our addiction to foreign oil.
Come and join us. We have many ways for you and your company to get involved. Come talk, discuss and work with us, perhaps show us what your company or agency is up to. You will find that our discussions are lively. We meet monthly, and have many scheduled events such as workshops, seminars and conferences. Please check out our calendar. It has been said that nothing comes into a closed hand. Together we will continue to transform South Florida and lead the State of Florida in reducing its dependency on petroleum.
